Dolphin Bakers (“we”, “us”) runs dolphinbakers.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit our website or order from us, how we use it, and the choices you have. It follows the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Information we collect

  • Order and account details: name, phone number, email address, delivery and billing address, pincode, and order details such as cake messages, uploaded photos and delivery date.
  • Gift recipient details: when you send an order to someone else, the recipient’s name, phone number and address, used only to deliver that order.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
  • Occasion dates (optional): birthdays or anniversaries, if you choose to share them for reminders and offers.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and cookies used to run the cart, checkout and site analytics.

2. How we use your information

  • To process, bake, deliver and support your orders, including order and delivery updates by SMS, email or WhatsApp.
  • To respond to queries, complaints and refund requests.
  • To prevent fraud and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • To send offers, reminders (for example, abandoned-cart or occasion reminders) and review requests, only if you have given consent.

3. Marketing consent and WhatsApp messages

We send marketing messages by WhatsApp, SMS or email only after you opt in, for example by ticking the consent box at checkout or sign-up. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any WhatsApp or SMS message, by clicking “unsubscribe” in an email, or by writing to us at the address below. Withdrawing consent does not affect messages about orders you have placed.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, such as payment gateways (Razorpay), delivery partners, hosting, email and messaging providers. They may use it only for that purpose. We may also disclose it if required by law or a government authority.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep your cart and checkout working, and optional cookies for analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site, such as the cart, may stop working.

6. Data retention and security

We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, and other data only as long as needed for the purposes above. We use reasonable security safeguards, including SSL encryption, to protect your data.

7. Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
